DIY Automatic Fire Extinguisher using Fire Flame Sensor without Arduino | Simple DIY Science Project for Students

DIY Automatic Fire Extinguisher using Fire Flame Sensor without Arduino | Simple DIY Science Project for Students

Project Overview

The DIY Automatic Fire Extinguisher using Fire Flame Sensor (without Arduino) is a simple and effective science project designed for students to understand basic fire detection and automatic safety systems. This project uses a flame sensor module to detect fire and automatically activate a water pump or extinguisher mechanism without the use of any microcontroller.

It Contains

  • Fire Flame Sensor Module
  • 1 Channel Relay Module
  • 5V DC Water Pump
  • Battery with Charging Module
  • Water Pipe
  • Connecting Wires
  • Sunboard Board

How It Works

  • The fire flame sensor continuously monitors infrared light emitted by flames.
  • When a fire is detected within its sensing range, the sensor outputs a signal.
  • This signal triggers the relay or transistor circuit.
  • The relay activates the DC water pump or solenoid valve.
  • Water is sprayed automatically toward the fire source, helping extinguish it.
  • Once the flame is removed, the system automatically turns OFF.
  • This system works without Arduino, making it easy to understand and suitable for beginners.

Applications

  • School science exhibitions
  • Fire safety demonstration models
  • Automatic fire detection systems
  • Smart home safety concept models
  • Industrial fire safety learning kits
  • Educational STEM projects

Learning Outcomes

  • Understanding fire detection using flame sensors
  • Learning automatic control systems without microcontrollers
  • Basics of relay switching and DC motors
  • Awareness of fire safety technology
  • Practical electronics and circuit building skills
  • Hands-on STEM learning experience
